CTV Sound Studios was established in 1987 by John Cross & Ken Rock. John was a pioneer of sound dubbing in Wales, in particular, dubbing into the Welsh Language. Today the team comprises of Rhys Young and Meurig Hailstone, two experienced sound designers ready to help you with your projects, big and small.
The company has adapted to the changes in technology over the years, and today the recording studio boasts a combination of classic analogue and the latest digital equipment across two studios and a large voiceover booth.
We can record voiceovers for use in television, radio, video productions, podcasts and much more.
Our voice over booth is acoustically treated and soundproofed to give a very clean and neutral sound.
The Neumann U-87Ai microphones we use are very high quality, detailed & the industry-standard for voiceover recording. We use AVID Pro Tools for recording and editing.

We provide the recording (to-picture), editing, generation of "Fade-Bytes" and final delivery of the audio described material.
Audio Description is a narration track, transmitted on many digital television platforms for blind and partially sighted people.
This narration describes what is happening on screen and is usually inserted in breaks between programme dialogue.
CTV can also accommodate authors and publishers for the creation of audiobooks. Our engineers can work both with English and Welsh material. Both voice over booths are perfect for this type of work to ensure that the narration of the audiobook is clean and neutral.
